Michele' E. Lawlis is President and Founder of The DIVA Institute, Inc., which provides training and consulting for single mothers, young adult women and teens. Ms. Lawlis provides success coaching for individuals and corporations. She has also designed training seminars for schools, churches and community organizations. Ms. Lawlis is co-author of Beyond the Body! Developing Inner Beauty, the final installment of the PWN empowerment library for women.

The DIVA Institute's primary mission is to educate, enlighten and empower the mind and spirit toward self-acceptance, collective awareness and purpose-driven living; creating a network of visionaries who are committed to action that will effect positive change in their communities. The DIVA Institute offers training seminars to further develop women in the areas of self-empowerment, servant leadership and community engagement. Seminars are also offered to provide personal and professional development to assist the network of service providers working directly with our targeted audiences.

Ms. Lawlis holds a BA degree in Political Science and has over 15 years of combined experience in the areas of civic involvement, civil rights enforcement, family law, mediation, image & public speaking, non-profit grant administration, youth program & resource development, workforce development. She is a member of the Louisville Urban League Young Professionals, National Association of Female Executives and the Professional Woman Network. In addition to her professional experience, she offers a unique perspective through her experiences in overcoming adversity as a single mother.

Overcoming adversity to achieve a greater sense of self and purpose qualifies Ms. Lawlis to encourage others to seek the truth about who they are, and to educate them on how to live life according to that truth. Her self-disclosure, non-traditional approach, and emphasis on "keeping it real", makes her a highly sought after trainer and motivational speaker for youth, single mothers and any woman who is ready for purposeful living. Ms. Lawlis is available on a local, national and international basis to train, consult and keynote.
