Janie Deadwyler has had a few valley experiences. However, through it all GOD has been there with her and made preparation for her ministry Angels In Distress, Inc. to come forth. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia born of loving parents who instilled the values of GOD first, Service to others, Prayer for strength, Love and unwavering Faith.

She has always served others whether it was heading a mentoring program for inner city youth as a Volunteer Facilitator for the United Way. Inspiring and motivating others to keep their dreams alive and get an education and to keep the faith. Facilitating C-CAPPY an inner-city youth mentoring program at Salem Bible Church in Atlanta, Volunteering for Domestic Violence Shelters encouraging mothers and comforting children.

She served the police department as a 9-1-1 Communications Dispatcher/Operator, where she received calls from victims of domestic violence and made sure that the citizens of Atlanta were served in a timely manner and that her officers went home safe. Her dedication and drive was noticed by her superiors and she was promoted to Senior Dispatcher and tasked with the responsibility of training potential dispatchers. Shortly afterwards she became a training supervisor for the APD 9-1-1 Communications Center.

One of her greatest accomplishments, was to serve as a Senior Instructor and HR Development Analyst and Training Coordinator for the Atlanta Police Training Academy where she spent her last eight years responsible for developing curriculums to provide yearly mandated In-Service training and Specialize Training for over five-hundred-sixty Civilian employees and outside agencies. After nineteen years of service to the Atlanta Police Department, she retired October 2008 to fulfill her call from GOD to dedicate her "talents" to training in awareness of domestic abuse and violence identifying the "red flags".

The Founder of Angels In Distress, Inc. (A. I. D.) a 501© 3 non-profit organization. Currently provide training in awareness and prevention of domestic abuse. She is a survivor of "Domestic Violence". GOD gave her a ministry out of her pain and showed her true life PURPOSE.

Ms. Deadwyler is the host of a weekly radio show: Angels In Distress Radio on Thursday evenings at 11pm EST. www.blogtalkradio.com/queen-warrior issues of domestic abuse and violence are addressed. It is her platform to educate the world. She is often sought after to speak at Women Empowerment Conferences, Civic organizations, Faith-based organizations, Teen and Men groups. She is a natural MOTIVATIONAL Speaker and hold several Certifications as a Domestic Violence Senior Instructor through Police Officers Standard of Training and Certified Domestic Violence Instructor of HOMELAND Security. Ms. Deadwyler is also a Certified Biblical Lay Counselor-American Association of Christian Counselors. She is pursuing her Master's Degree in Biblical Counseling.
